7 Nights - 8 Days Wildebeest Migration Safari

Day 1

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta international airport you will be met by wild sounds adventures representative then transferred to city hotel

Day 2-7 Masai Mara

Early breakfast then your professional guide will join you for a short briefing then your 4-5 drive start. The drive will take us towards the north west of Nairobi through the kikuyu country before coming to the eastern wall of Great Rift Valley. There will be spectacular view of the volcanic mountain and on the vast floor; mt longonot and mt suswa of the Great Rift Valley. A brief stop at the viewing point for picture taking before we descends down to the valley floor. At the floor we will turn left and drive through semi arid country of the kedong valley before ascending into Masai Mara plateau. Lunch will be at narok, then proceed with lots game along the way.
Before we arrive in the lodge we will drive into areas with big herds of, wildebeest, zebras, elephants, buffalos and if lucky the first bride lions or a leopard.

3 nights stay at Mara West Camp on full board.

Day 3 Masai Mara

This will be a day for us to rove into some of the most exciting areas with high concentration of the migrating animals. We will have breakfast at the camp before we start our long day trip full of rare encounters. Our adventure will start soon after 8, the best time to go out because most people in the regular tours are rushing back to their respective hotels for breakfast hence giving us humble time. We will try to keep away from other tourist so that we can watch the animals up close. The adventure will take us take through the riverine vegetation a good area for the leopards and a lions then through migration corridor which is also an excellent spot for experiencing and understanding what migration is all about. From the corridors we will find an excellent spot for our picnic lunch. After lunch we will start heading back into the camp because it is starting to get hot and things are generally getting quiet in the field. Cold or hot shower will be waiting for us at the lodge.

Day 4 Masai Mara

Early wake up call, quick cup of tea or coffee, then out at 06.00hrs before tom dick and hurry. Our mission will be trying to catch up with the spectacular river crossing; the wildebeest and zebras jumping into crocodile infested river is something worth experiencing. So starting up early will give us chance to catch up with the most spectacular encounters on the plains and also to be able to position our self in a strategic position before the place gets crowded. Breakfast and lunch will be on board, also cold drinks, water, soft drink and beer will be provided. After experiencing this wonderful scenario we will head back to the camp.

Day 5 Masai Mara

After breakfast we will check out and move to our next camp with game en route. Our camp will be located on the north east part of the park along the Talek River another amazing place for game watching. This section of the park is known from the large herds of elephants, buffalo’s big pride of lions, cheetahs and if we are lucky we might pump into rare black rhino. We will be getting into our camp just before the regular afternoon tours start and best time to be in the pool because almost every person is out for safari, 4 nights at kichakani camp on full board.

Day 6 Masai Mara

Early wake up call, quick cup tea or coffee then out at 06.00hrs and drive to musiara swamp looking for famous marsh pride. This is a pride of lions that have established this marsh area has their permanent territory for decades. We will also drive to other good areas like the rhino ridge and the paradise plain for other type of like the cheetahs and any exciting activities. Breakfast on board and lunch at governor’s camp, after lunch we will drive to the crossing for any additional action, over night at the camp as above.

Day 7 Masai Mara

After breakfast we will take a leisurely drive trying to catch up with unfolding, we will be back for lunch and then late evening safari for a sun downer and to bid Mara good bye,

Day 8 Mara- Nairobi

After breakfast check out and drive back to Nairobi with lunch at narok, upon arrival a short city tour then drive to hotel oleserin for early dinner before your flight home.
